  • Emsella can be used in the treatment of urinary incontinence in women, urinary incontinence after radical prostatectomy in men. It can also be used for sexual dysfunction including vaginal laxity, erectile dysfunction, sexual anaesthesia, postpartum pelvic floor dysfunction and pelvic pain syndrome in male and female patients

  • Childbirth, menopause and age represent the major causes of incontinence. Seventy percent of people suffering with urinary incontinence do not seek treatment. Thirty percent of this group cease physical activites and experience problems with sexual intimacy.

    EMSELLA is intended to strengthen pelvic floor muscles and restore greater neuromuscular control.

    Incontinence and sexual disorders can be caused by many factors; and EMSELLA is not suitable in all cases.

    There is no pain. Any potential discomfort can be easily managed by reducing the intensity of the treatment.

  • A single EMSELLA treatment takes 30 minutes!

    While some women and men will feel results after the first treatment, a minimum of six (6) sessions, twice a week, is recommended to achieve optimum results.

    Our experience is that a cohort over 65 years will often require eight (8) treatment sessions.

  • Many people require no further treatment.

    However, this can be influenced by factors like age, lifestyle, and severity of incontinence.

    To this end, top up maintenance sessions using Emsella can prove valuable to retain treatment gains.

  • You are NOT able to use EMSELLA if you are:

    • pregnant,

    • have a pacemaker or other internal electric device,

    • have metal plates/screws/fixtures in your upper body,

    • have had a metal/titanium hip replacement,

    • or have an IUD with a copper coil or any other metal component.

    You should also remove any intimate piercings before treatment with EMSELLA.
