CRYO Q

Delivers cryogenically-cooled air via an applicator hose with precision and safety to specific areas of the body. It helps reduce swelling/oedema, decrease inflammation and manage acute & chronic pain due to illness, injury and/or surgery.

The benefits of “cold” therapies has been increasingly recognised in the scientific literature. But what an ice pack takes 20 minutes to achieve, localised or spot cryotherapy can do in 3 minutes. Crafted for the time poor and customers looking for accelerated relief, healing and recovery.

Local Cryotherapy manages acute and chronic inflammation and pain. It also assists with dermatitis, psoriasis, acne, cellulite, muscle fatigue/spasm, cardiovascular and lymphatic circulation, headache, bruising post surgery, joint function and facial skin treatments.

Treatment delivers flexibility and mobility; and enables you to engage more quickly and fully in recommended physiotherapy exercises and get on with life.

Treatment sessions are 5-10 minutes. Customers can wear loose fitting clothing that permits easy application of cryogenically cooled air to a target body site.

    How Cryo Stimulation Works
At extremely low temperatures, cold receptors in the skin send fast signals to the brain, reducing pain before it is felt. The cold triggers vasoconstriction followed by rapid vasodilation, improving blood flow and micro-circulation in the treated area. This process creates a natural analgesic effect.

Cryo stimulation activates the body’s natural healing responses. Treatments are safe and do not affect core body temperature due to the brief exposure time.

Cryo stimulation reduces pain and inflammation. Less pain encourages movement, helping improve joint strength, flexibility, and overall recovery.

  • It depends on the nature & severity of the presenting condition as well as results you are trying to achieve.

We generally recommend 2-3 treatments per week to see results. Depending on your physical condition, you may feel immediate relief from joint and muscle pain, improved energy and increased flexibility for many hours even days.

Following an appropriate course of treatment, significant reduction in inflammation and pain can be expected.

  • There are some conditions that make it impossible to conduct sessions of localized cryotherapy.

The main precautions for this treatment are: cold intolerance, open wounds, ulcers, gangrenous lesions, hypothyroidism, and skin cancer.
