  • Any clothing is fine; but no makeup.

  • The gas we use in our machine is nitrogen, and it is perfectly safe.

The aim is to stimulate a treatment area so that the skin temperature is cooled down to around 0-10 C. Treatment does not impact deeper processes and will not affect internal organs.

CryoQ provides constant feedback regarding skin temperature to avoid excessive cooling, which could potentially burn the skin. The client should feel free to notify the technician of any discomfort. In the unlikely event of discomfort, the operator can remove the delivery nozzle from the treatment area or decrease the flow intensity.

  • No, not at all. It is not a penetrating cold. Rather than shiver, the patient will feel a dry cold that is comfortable to the skin. Local Cryotherapy however is a shock therapy, therefore the patient will experience a slight ‘dull ache’ due to the constriction of blood vessels, which fades immediately after treatment. A minute after the session is over, the area will feel warm and show a visible red glow due to microcirculations being driven around the treatment area. There is no tissue damage or down time.

  • The patient will feel relaxed and warm as soon as treatment is finished. During cryo stimulation, the blood temperature in the treatment area rises and the increased blood flow provides a light skin redness as it boosts localised cardiovascular microcirculation.

  • There are some conditions that make it impossible to conduct a CRYO Q Facial

The main precautions for the treatment are:

    • cold intolerance,

    • open wounds,

    • gangrenous lesions,

    • recent botox or filler injections in the last 4 weeks

    • and skin cancers.
